What happens after we sign a quote or submit payment?

Once a quote is signed, your official implementation process begins. We request payment once implementation is complete and you’ve had your first day of instruction. Online payment or check are accepted when the time comes.

How long does implementation take?

All we’ll need from you is a quick 15-minute phone call to collect specific account details. After that, you can expect a 3 week turnaround for implementation (4-8 weeks can be needed if hiring a teacher). This allows us to set up courses, train teachers as needed, roster courses appropriately, run quality checks, and complete any other items specific to your account.

Can Rex support both in-school and after-school implementations?

Yes! Many of our courses are offered in a variety of formats and lengths to accommodate what you need most.

How do teachers and students log into the Rex platform?

Once your account is ready to go, an implementation team member will send over login credentials for you and anyone else on the team! We allow manual login (username + password), or login using Clever. We will decide what method is best for you during your implementation call!

Can Rex integrate with our LMS or SSO?

Rex is currently unable to integrate with other LMS since we are an LMS ourselves. We are able to integrate with Clever SSO though!

What devices or browsers are supported?

Majority of Rex courses are fully browser-based, with a select few gaming and certification style courses requiring additional system requirements.

Is technical support included?

Yes! You will have access to our Rex Support Team (support@rexk12.com) with any purchase. They are available Monday-Friday to assist with anything you may need.

What grade levels does Rex support?

Rex supports grade levels K-12, as well as post graduation workforce development programs.

Are courses self-paced or teacher-led?

We have a select few courses that can be run on a self-paced basis. The majority of our classes are meant to be taught under the direction of a teacher though.

Do courses align to standards (CSTA, TEKS, etc.)?

Our courses align to the CSTA standards. We do align on courses to some state standards depending on the course and the state. Please see the state pages for more information.

Can courses be customized for our school or program?

Course customization is available on a case-by-case for an additional fee. Please talk with your Rex representative for more information!

Are courses appropriate for beginners with no CS experience?

Almost all of our elementary, middle, and freshman courses are meant for beginners with no prior experience! Once we enter into our 10th -12th grade courses, there are pre-reqs required.

Does Rex provide the teacher, or do we use our own?

Rex meets you where you need us most! We are happy to provide training materials for your own teacher, or discuss providing a Rex instructor if needed.

Are background checks required for instructors?

Every Rex provided instructor undergoes a background check.

How much prep time is required for teachers?

Rex courses come fully built from start to finish with in-depth teacher guides. Prep time is fully dependent upon the teacher's comfortability with the material and personal preferences.

Can Rex courses run during the school day, after-school, summer, or enrichment?

Yes! Many of our courses are offered in a variety of formats and lengths to accommodate what you need most.

Do students need prior coding experience?

Almost all of our elementary, middle, and freshman courses are meant for beginners with no prior experience! Once we enter into our 10th -12th grade courses, there are pre-reqs required.

Do students earn certificates or credentials?

Every Rex course comes with a certificate of completion. If a course is certification-aligned, students are guaranteed to finish the course ready to take the certification exam.

How do we track student progress in a course?

The Rex platform comes with fully integrated analytics to allow tracking of student time, progress, and grades for every course. We get a data starting point with our pre-test data. We then collect data through the assessments and assignments throughout the course. Finally, we give a post-test to see complete mastery.

Will we receive usage or engagement reports?

As a Rex client, you will receive a monthly communication directly from our CEO with your overall monthly usage and other details. We find this is a helpful way for you to see if Rex is a useful tool and provide you a consistent time to share feedback with us.

What is the typical response time?

You can anticipate a response from Rex Support within 24 business hours.

Who do we contact for curriculum vs technical issues?

Our team works a collective whole. While we recommend contacting Support for all your needs to ensure your request gets routed properly, you are always welcome to contact your Rex Representative or Implementation Manager for assistance as well!

Can we request additional training or check-ins?

We are always happy to meet for a check-in of any kind. Additional virtual or in-person training comes at a cost, but you will have access to our full training library with any purchase!

How is pricing structured?

Pricing is custom to each client. Your Rex Representative can assist with a custom quote based on your specific needs.

When do renewals occur?

A Rex Representative will reach out as your contract wraps up to ensure satisfaction and begin discussing a possible renewal. You are always welcome to begin that conversation early depending on your specific needs!

How do we expand or add courses mid-year?

Contact Rex Support or your Rex Representative for assistance! Mid-year changes are common and we’re happy to assist. Please note that additional courses do come at an additional cost.
