Learn: Scratch Jr.
Scratch Jr. is a much simpler version of Scratch, which is used to teach programming fundamentals and other computer science concepts to elementary kids. Scratch Jr. is ideal for the younger elementary level as it is geared towards acquiring basic computer literacy such as mouse movements and keyboard strikes as much as anything else.
Students will learn how to communicate with a computer by using a programming language. Students will learn the computational thinking required to understands a computer’s logic.
Students will learn how to think like a computer thinks. Students learn the logic that is the foundation of all programming languages.
Students get to enjoy building their own games and stories through the Scratch Jr app. Students learn through the creation of fun projects they can customize to match their uniquness.
