Build exciting and original games and animations through the block based language, Scratch.
Students will learn the foundations of using the Scratch language to create characters, backgrounds, animations, games, and stories. Students will learn not just how to build games, but also how to read other’s code to utilize. They also learn how to independently and collaboratively create projects and present their projects.
Students will learn the foundations of computational thinking and computer science vocabulary as they code using a block based programming language. Students will be able to make fully customizable games and animations.
Students learn skills, vocabulary, problem solving skills, and computation thinking that they will use in every programming class they take afterwards.
Students get to build fun and engaging animations and games that are cutomized to fit their interest, culture, and creative ideas.
