Welcome to the Rex K-12 Computer Science Camps, hosted at University of Texas at Dallas! Our camps offer exciting opportunities for High School students to delve deep into the world of coding and technology. Join us for 9 week of fun and intensive discovery!
June 3rd – August 2nd, 2024
This camp is designed to empower high school students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s digital landscape and embrace the realm of research and innovation. Led by experienced instructor, Dr. Jey Veerasamy, and built on Rex K-12 curriculum, this camp offers a dynamic learning environment like no other.
Grades 9—12
All About Cybersecurity
Students will master the core literature of cybersecurity and establish a firm grasp of the many sectors and uses of cybersecurity along with terminology, good practices, and standards. Students will be able to recognize and identify common attacks, perform penetration testing of various systems, create backups, demonstrate knowledge of cryptography, and can explain good incidence policies that companies should adopt to create secure systems. This workshop is built on top of Rex Academy’s curriculum (part1 & part2). No prior knowledge about Cyber Security is required to attend this workshop, but students do need to bring a lot of curiosity to get the full value from this workshop!
Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 2 pm-4 pm
