At Rex, we have matched Wisconsin’s vision with our own.

At Rex Academy, we are dedicated to building quality computer science education for all ages. Our core belief is that computer science should be available to all learners as it is a gateway to many opportunities.

Learning to code is comparable to learning reading, writing, and math for this generation. Rex makes this process easy and enjoyable for all!

On October 22, 2018, Arizona's State Board of Education voted to adopt new K-12 Computer Science Standards.

The Wisconsin Academic Standards for Computer Science were developed by a statewide writing committee and submitted to extensive review by the public and the State Superintendent’s Review Council.

State Superintendent Tony Evers adopted the standards in June 2017. Wisconsin students benefit from academic standards in computer science and information and technology literacy that help them understand fundamental concepts to further their skills in today’s technological world.

Did you know?

Computer Science isn't simply algorithms, coding, networking, and computers. Computer Science is problem-solving, analyzing, and organizing and it is embedded in many other academic standard areas. Below is a list of Wisconsin academic standards that are connected to Computer Science: IT and Technology Literacy Technology and Engineering Business Information Math Computer Science and Math Connections

Currently, there is not a clear path to get teachers certified in computer science education.

Alaska aligns quite well to CSTA and ISTE standards and therefore hasfive Core Computer Science  Concepts:

  1. Computing Systems
  2. Networking and the Internet
  3. Data and Analysis
  4. Algorithms and Programming
  5. Community, Global, and Ethical Impact
